Sanwar Ali comment:

Allowing all Tier 2 visa migrants to remain, who have been made redundant due to the coronavirus COVID-19 situation seems like a sensible move.  Hopefully, in future there will an increase in demand for these Tier 2 visa migrants.

The number of people who have been infected by coronavirus COVID-19 in the UK is heading towards 50,000, with the number of people who have died in the UK heading towards 5,000.   These figures may very well be misleading.  The true figures may be much higher than this.  Even Boris Johnson the British Prime Minister has coronavirus and is currently in hospital for tests.

Sanwar Ali comment:

When there is an emergency, hardline anti-immigrant policies suddenly need to be changed.   Like other Countries around the World the US needs to have medical personnel urgently.  The extent of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has taken Governments around the World by surprise.

Sanwar Ali comment:

Usually the H1B visa quota is heavily oversubscribed and there is a lottery for the available 85,000 visas.  This means the likelihood of obtaining a cap subject H1B visa is low.

Sanwar Ali comment:

The way that Tier 2 visa migrants and others have been treated has been somewhat controversial. UK visa fees and other related fees are amongst the highest in the World and for many are unaffordable.  UK visa applicants in effect have to pay twice for health care.
