On January 11, 2018, during an Oval Office meeting with US senators about protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African countries in a new immigration package, President Donald Trump apparently said the following:
It has become more and more difficult to obtain L1 visas. Unless it is for a very large company with blanket filing the documentation requirements are quite enormous. Both the L1A visa for Executives and Managers and the L1B visa for Specialized knowledge workers is difficult to obtain.
Still a number of uncertainties:
Sharing data with the UK visa authorities has resulted in injustice in the past. There have been numerous news reports about the hostile environment policy towards immigrants. From past experience sharing data with UK Visa and Immigration will result in people unfairly having to leave the Country.
There seems to be a culture of covering up misconduct and dishonesty. UK Visa and Immigration at the Home Office that also has to deal with vulnerable people has to be seen to be treating people fairly. Instead, there are numerous allegations of racial discrimination and institutional racism.
This is an interesting and sowewhat controversial idea. Is the situation so bad at the Home Office that it should be closed down? It seems that the Green Party or at least some people in the Green Party seem to think so.
