A Texas-led lawsuit to defend a Trump-era US immigration policy, reported on by Workpermit.com, has been thrown out by the Supreme Court. The Court refused to hear a case that sought to uphold a Trump-era ‘public charge’ rule that would limit how many immigrants qualify for US green cards.

A new survey has revealed that the UK student visa has become a more attractive proposition for international students because of Britain’s vaccine success. According to the poll, the UK is a more popular destination than Australia, Canada, Germany and the US. 

 

Democratic lawmakers have urged US President, Joe Biden, to stop using local police to enforce US immigration laws, arguing that it is ‘making the country less safe by dissuading immigrants from coming forward to report serious crimes. A letter was recently sent urging the Biden administration to immediately ‘terminate agreements’ with local police.
