The number of undocumented immigrants arrested by US immigration agents surged in June, but surprisingly, fewer deportations occurred with figures falling to their lowest point in 2017, according to data released by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It’s claimed that deportations are down due to massive court backlogs across the nation.

It’s understood that the NHS will look to recruit from countries such as Australia and New Zealand, with doctors needing a Tier 2 visa to live and work in Britain. The European Union will also be targeted in an attempt to attract more doctors.

However, a better option for many may be the Tier 2 (General) Visa, which allows skilled workers to work for a UK employer with a Tier 2 Sponsorship License, and eventually gain legal permanent residence.

Brexit talks got underway on Monday, 19 June with Brexit Secretary, David Davis saying that ‘things looked promising’ after day one.
