Passport requirements are slowly changing across the globe. The United States has already started to demand that people will be able to present machine readable passports and within 36 months the European Union citizens' passports will have the holders' fingerprints in them.
Canada has set its limit for immigrants for next year while Germany has detected a shortage in workers in lower skilled category jobs and there is a brewing clash between the United States and the European Union regarding visa free travels.
