UK Visas and Immigration are encouraging people to apply for a Sponsor Licence.

Prince Harry may be worried about US tax.  Green Card holders and US citizens are taxed on “worldwide income”.  Boris Johnson the British Prime Minister is actually a former US citizen himself and as reported in January 2015 was very unhappy about an US tax bill.  

Unfortunately, litigation seems to be necessary too much of the time.  Giving the Government lots of bad publicity can also help.  It is frequently very difficult to persuade an organisation to accept responsibility for their mistakes.  People stick together and deny that anything is wrong.  People are also scared to admit that something is wrong, in case this upsets a colleague.

Did anyone think that Boris Johnson and UK visas and Immigration would find some underhand way of still charging the immigration health surcharge to some health care workers?  Apparently if you change jobs in the next six months you will need to pay £400 a year in advance for the duration of the visa.   Actually it could be much more than that.  F

As previously mentioned I believe that Boris Johnson, Priti Patel and others have exaggerated the changes to the UK visa system from 1 January 2021.  There are some significant changes.  However, perhaps the most significant change is that newly arriving EU citizens to the UK will need to come under the UK visa system.

This is what you would expect.  It is extremely difficult for both Houses of Congress to agree on substantial immigration reform legislation.  Trump himself has had to use executive orders to try and make some changes.  If Biden wins by a big margin over Trump in the Presidential elections in November 2020, then perhaps there will be significant immigration refor
