The US cut in World Health Organisation (WHO) funding has been highly controversial.  No organisation is perfect.  However, in the 1960s and 1970s, despite the Cold War, thanks to WHO both the United States and the Soviet Union worked together to end Smallpox a serious infectious disease in 1980. 

6,300 undocumented migrants were expelled on the Mexico border using emergency powers granted due to coronavirus.  Working migrants, many on H1B visas are also suffering.  

Donald Trump is considering ending the US “lockdown” from the beginning of May.  Health experts are uncertain about this.  It could take longer to make sure that there are suitable tests to find out if people have coronavirus and also if they have had it in the past without knowing about it. 

It is perhaps not surprising that there will be problems with the new H1B visa registration system.  This was brought in to deal with the huge demand for H1B visas and to fairly allocate the quota.  If you are successful you can then submit your full H1B visa application, which could of course be denied.

President Donald Trump continues to spark controversy over his views on coronavirus COVID-19.  Due to the current situation the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had recently advised Americans to wear a mask.  Trump seems to disagree with this. 

When there is an emergency, hardline anti-immigrant policies suddenly need to be changed.   Like other Countries around the World the US needs to have medical personnel urgently.  The extent of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has taken Governments around the World by surprise.
