The expensive, confusing and overly bureaucratic UK visa processing system makes things even worse when there is a pandemic.  Further bad news is that the infection rate appears to be increasing in parts of the UK.

Recently there have been changes to the coronavirus COVID-19 Government UK visa advice.  There is a new concession that benefits Tier 4 visa students and other visa holders as well.  Everyone whose visa expires between 24 January 2020 and 31 July 2020 can stay until 31 August 2020.

The closure of UK visa application centres has delayed UK visa applications by a number of months.  Surely, there should now be a review on how to simplify the system and make it cheaper for applicants.  It is confusing for people to have to use multiple websites.  Why n

The UK visa system is complex, expensive and bureaucratic.  It must be possible to make it simpler and easier to navigate so making it easier for overseas Army recruits to extend their UK visa.  These overseas applicants are not allowed to work while waiting in the UK and so may be facing financial difficult

People can be excused for being extremely cynical about the apparent change of heart by the Home Office.  Action by the Government has been somewhat lacking.  The “hostile environment” policy has affected other BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic)
