It is difficult to know what to believe when it comes to Government announcements on UK visa policy.  Apparently, the intention is to make it easier for employers to obtain a sponsor licence.

The government has announced that international sports stars will be eligible to apply for the UK Global Talent Visa. Winners of prestigious awards in the areas of art, music, film, science, medicine, engineering and humanities were already able to qualify for the fast-track visa, but sports stars had been excluded. 

 

UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has promised that Afghan refugees arriving in Britain having fled the Taliban will receive permanent UK residency visas. Johnson told the House of Commons that the 20,000 refugees set to arrive in the UK as part of the Afghanistan settlement scheme will be granted indefinite leave to remain.
